The “princess” of pop-punk, Avril Lavigne who experienced great success in the 2000s first with the album “Let Go” (2002) and then with “Under My Skin” (2004) and “The Best Damn Thing” (2007), recently got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But beyond the star, the ceremony also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of her first album, Let Go. But this wasn't the first time the singer visited the famous Boulevard: as she told the website Variety, the first time was at the age of 16 when she traveled to Los Angeles.
Lavine mentioned her first visit at that young age and during her speech she emphasized, “I remember seeing these legendary names and never imagined they would be here and mine.. It's so crazy!! This is probably one of the most beautiful days of my life”.

After thanking her fiance Mod Sun, producer John Feldman and her collaborator Machine Gun Kelly, among others, Lavigne closed her speech, saying: I hope that the next 16-year-old visiting Hollywood from a small town, full of hopes and dreams, sees this star and thinks, “My name could be there one day. Because it is possible”, he said. “How amazing these 20 years have been, I'm looking forward to the next 20! Let's go!”.
