< b>Support and rehabilitation services have been provided to more than 1,800 unaccompanied children by the humanitarian organization “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center (HFC) since its establishment, while the Children's House has provided services since 2017 in more than 1,565 cases minors, for whom cases of possible sexual exploitation and abuse are being investigated.

In today's announcement, on the occasion of International Day for the Protection of Children's Rights, “Hope For Children” emphasizes that it works in policy-making and intervenes where its experience and know-how contribute to the field of child protection. < /p>

He emphasizes that children are the future of society and that the state must give them the appropriate resources to grow up and know their rights.

At the same time, he adds that the provision of appropriate means and services to children so that they can seek the help they need when their rights are violated.

According to “Hope For Children”, from the day of its foundation until today, it has offered support and rehabilitation services to more than 1,800 unaccompanied children through the “Houses of Hope” children's shelters and the Semi-Independent Living Program.

< p>Furthermore, the Children's Home, which through the inter-agency and multi-disciplinary management of cases investigated for possible sexual exploitation and abuse of minors, has offered its services in over 1,565 cases since its establishment in 2017.

As the humanitarian organization “Hope For Children” emphasizes, since 2008 it has been and continues to be next to thousands of children defending their rights, implementing multi-level programs that concern the defense and promotion of their rights, with priority given to their well-being, education and the prevention of any kind of violence against them, as well as their psychosocial and legal support.

He adds, at the same time, that “as part of the efforts to inform and raise awareness, the Organization implements actions that aim to spread the rights of the child to the wider public and to children, and specifically mentions that in September 2022, the young HFC Ambassadors from America International School Cyprus, created the booklet “Passport to your Rights”, a printed version with child-friendly language, which includes all the rights of the child as provided for in the relevant United Nations Convention.

Furthermore, he notes that his work continues with the support of more than 380 foster families through the Foster Families Program implemented throughout Cyprus, and over 6,000 families with the provision of basic necessities.

Finally, he states that through the implementation of experiential activities Non-formal human rights education for children of all age groups, has educated more than 300,000 children through actions carried out inside and outside school contexts.
