A mother who threw her disabled six-year-old son into a polluted river full of crocodiles and mauled him to death, she is now blaming her husband, claiming he drove her to this act.
Savitri Kumar, 32, from Uttara Kannada, a district in the western Indian state of Karnataka, had heated arguments with the boy's 27-year-old father, who repeatedly urged her to “throw the child away,” reports the Times of India.

When the parents, who also have a two-year-old son, argued again over their eldest child the last Saturday, Savitri was “distraught” and reportedly threw her son into a waste canal that empties into the crocodile-infested Kali river.
According to local media, she told the police: “My husband is responsible. He used to say “let the child die, all he does is eat”. If my husband keeps saying this, how much torture could my son take? Where can I go to share my pain?”.
