Hospitals including the Famagusta General Hospital and other noble institutions were visited today by the Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta Vasileios, accompanied by the Mayors of the province.

In a statement from the Support Group of Metropolitan Vasilios, it is stated that our sick people who are in hospitals and holy institutions were visited today Wednesday by Metropolitan Vassilios of Constantia and Famagusta accompanied by the Mayors of Famagusta Simos Ioannou, Paralimni Theodoros Pyrillis, Agia Napa Christos Zannettos and Deryneia Andros Karagiannis. Mayor Sotiras Georgios Takkas, who was absent due to an extraordinary obligation, was represented by Municipal Councilor Martis Martis.

It is added that “ecclesiastical and municipal authorities gave their wishes for a speedy recovery to the sufferers and distributed commemorative gifts to the Famagusta General Hospital, the “Leto” polyclinic. and the Center for Offer and Love (KEPA) "Agios Christoforos".

In the polyclinic "Leto" the Metropolitan "met with a group of nurses who were making a visit during which they were informed about various medical issues".

The announcement goes on to say that "the nurses stated that they have decided to support Metropolitan Basil of Constantia and Famagusta, despite the fact that they do not know him personally, but by learning about the rich and varied work of his ministry within the Church and the pan-Orthodox recognition he receives”.

According to the announcement “the Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta donated to Famagusta General Hospital an electric moped to meet the needs of the Accident and Emergency Department (AED) and the proper operation of the medical center.
