Implementation of a plan to transform Severi Avenue into a public service road was decided by the Ministry – What the Minister of the Interior said
Decision concerning the confirmation and promotion of the start of the process of the grandiose project, amounting to approximately 90 million euros, of the transformation of Severis Avenue into a street of public services was received today by the Ministerial Council, according to the Minister of the Interior, Nikos Nouri.
Mr. Nouris said that this issue concerns the holistic renovation of the Chief Secretariat area in front of the Ministry of the Interior, the approval of the plans for the construction of the three buildings that will house the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Justice in the areas that today they are parking spaces in front of the Ministry of Interior, the creation of an underground car park with a capacity of 600 cars and the overall redevelopment of the General Secretariat building, which will house additional other services such as the Cyprus Library, the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts and Commissioners' Offices .
He said that this is a project which is priced at around 90 million. He added that the relevant tender will start in the spring, in collaboration with the Technical Chamber.
It is a project that is undertaken by public works and we hope that it will be completed in about 32-34 months. , he concluded.
