Important message PA.S.P. in view of the resumption of sport

Today is a very important day, Monday, February 8, 2021, since after months of inactivity, thousands of football players – professionals, semi-professionals and young people from the academies – will have the opportunity to return to training and coaching.

It is crucial that the entire football edifice follows the health protection measures faithfully and with absolute reverence, in order to avoid negative developments and a new lockdown, thus safeguarding the victory from the great battle given by the sport to remove the restrictions.

It is imperative that everyone (footballers, coaches, coaches, parents) follow all the regulations of the Ministry of Health and the CMO, in order to ensure that sports will remain open.

As the Pancyprian Association of Footballers (PASP) we call on everyone and especially our members, to show absolute responsibility, following all the measures announced by the Ministry, without any discount, while we ask everyone to faithfully observe the triptych of protection of their health, ie to wear masks, wash their hands often and take tests. Especially with regard to the last measure, rapid tests are fast and free and are an excellent weapon in the fight against the spread of the virus.

By the way, PA.S.P. Reminds its members of the following measures, which must be followed in support of the measures already taken.

1) Do not drink from the same water tank during training or play, but always use your own water bottle and do not exchange other items (towels, bathrobes, etc.) with other players.

2) Do not eat in the locker room.

3) Keep your personal items and clothes in your bag and avoid leaving them exposed in the locker room or in shared baskets.

4) Immediately dispose of used tissues or other materials, such as bandages, etc. in suitable containers.

5) Wash your hands thoroughly as often as possible. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and then dry them with a disposable towel after rinsing thoroughly.

6) When using shared toilets, do not touch the faucet before and after hand washing, but use disposable towels to open and close the faucet.

7) Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

8) Cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief – preferably a disposable handkerchief – or with your elbow, but not your hand, if you have to cough or sneeze.
