Decisions for seats in 3 of the 30 service clusters where there was a tie or no majority at the first meeting of their Council for selection of their headquarters was taken by the Ministry of the Interior.
All three cases concern clusters in Pafos district. The community heads of these complexes were not able to come to a decision on the seat of the cluster, with the result that the decision based on the legislation belongs to the Minister of the Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, based on the criteria provided for in the law, which are the geographical location, the population and the building facilities available to the community.
As Goudio community leader Neoptolemos Antoniadis reports to KYPE, the Minister of the Interior arrived at the headquarters of the 3 complexes after the reports he received from Paphos Prefecture.
Specifically, for Complex A, in which there was a tie vote of the Communities of Goudi and Peristerona, it was decided that the seat of the Complex would be Goudi, while according to Tsada community leader Mario Ioannou, for Complex C, which was a tie vote of the Communities of Tsada and Kallepia, it was decided that the seat would be in Chad.
Finally, in Complex D Pafos, in which there was no majority and the candidates for the seat were the Communities of Statos/Agios Fotios, Panagia, Pentalia and Amargeti, the seat will eventually be located in the village of Pentalia, as the Pentalia community leader Charalambos Ioannou reported to KYPE.
It is noted that the A. Complex includes the communities of Goudi, Kinousa, Lysos, Peristerona Paphos, Skoulli, Steni, Filousa Chrysochous, Choli, with the headquarters of the Complex Goudi with the president of the Complex the Neoptolemos Antoniadis.
The C. Complex includes the communities of Episkopi of Paphos, Kallepia, Kourdaka, Lemona, Letymbou, Choulo and Tsada with the headquarters of the Complex at TSADA and president of Complex C Marios Ioannou Community Leader of Tsada.
Community D includes the communities of Agia Marina Kelokedaro, Amargeti, Axylou, Asprogia, Galataria, Eledio, Koilini, Pano Panagia, Pentalia and Statos Agios Fotios. The seat of the Complex is Pentalia and the president of Complex C is Michalis Kimonos, Mayor of Statou – Agios Fotios.
