The price of olive oil recorded an increase of 62% in August 2024 compared to the price it had in August 2023, while the price of potatoes increased by 29% in the same period.

Σε ελαιλα&delta κιπτειλεεσ ;ις αυσιμν Αyγσο /></p> <p>The prices of olive oil and potatoes recorded the largest annual increase in August, according to data from the Consumer Price Index, compiled by the Cyprus Consumers Association.</p> <p>Specifically, the the price of olive oil recorded an increase of 62% in August 2024 compared to the price it had in August 2023, while the price of potatoes increased by 29% in the same period.</p> <p>According to the data, increases were also recorded the prices for passenger buses and coaches by 26%, but also for fresh vegetables by 19%.</p> <p>The biggest decrease in August 2024 compared to the same month in 2023 was recorded by the price of sugar, by 27.6%, while, according to the data, the prices for international flights are also reduced compared to last year by 13%.</p> <p>Compared to July 2024, in August 2024 the biggest increase price increase was noted in fresh vegetables, by 25%, in vegetables by 18% and in potatoes by 16%.
