If the former did not complain…
Focusing on the present case, one realizes the difficulties that the issue has. Given the special circumstances under which he came to the surface, the specialty of the two doctors would never be revoked if the husband of one of the two doctors, who are sisters, did not file a complaint (for his own reasons).
The history
The two doctors around the beginning of 2009 and 2010, respectively, submitted applications to the competent medical body, the Medical Council of Cyprus, in order to be registered in the Register of Physicians under the Law on Registration of Physicians, Chapter 250. They presented a degree in Medicine from the State Medical University of their country and received relevant approval.
In 2015, based on the provisions of the law, they both submitted an application for recognition of the specialty title in General Medicine. Their request was accompanied by a postgraduate degree at a State Hospital in their country. They also attached their training program to various departments of clinical hospitals and polyclinics for a period of four years (from 2010 to 2014). At the beginning of 2015, the Medical Council of Cyprus approved their request and issued a certificate of recognition of their specialty.
