Another 20,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine from Turkey arrived in the occupied territories this morning by ambulance.
According to reports from the occupied areas, the special aircraft arrived at 9.30 in the morning. The donation of another 20,000 vaccines was announced yesterday by Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay in Ankara during the signing of the 2021 economic and fiscal cooperation protocol with “Prime Minister” Ersan Saner.
Mr Oktay had said the vaccines would arrive within a week. With this batch, the vaccines from Turkey to the pseudo-state reach 100,000. With the previous batches of vaccines from Turkey and the EU, through the bi-communal Technical Committee for Health, the two vaccination doses for a corresponding number of people had been completed.
As the “Minister of Health”, Unal Ustel, stated yesterday, new vaccinations will now begin in professional and age groups.
“Prime Minister” Ersan Saner, returning to the occupied territories of Turkey today, stated that with the 20,000 doses, a total of 15% of the population will be vaccinated.
