If you are looking for a relaxing location for a nature excursion that is close to almost all cities, then one option is the area of Delikipou in the province of Larnaca, near the forest of Kornos.
Undoubtedly, the interest is found in the pine lands that are rare in areas with such a low altitude, however, walking around Delikipos, you will have the opportunity to admire many other types of native vegetation such as olives, locust trees and many prickly pears within the small settlement. With few permanent residents, the village's attraction is the 18th century church as well as the stone, medieval bridges located around the settlement.

According to information published on the website of the Community Council, the church of Chrysosotiros is located in the center of the settlement and was specifically built in 1726, as stated by an inscription at its main entrance. However, to build the church, it seems that materials from an even older building that existed on the site were used, and according to a cute tradition, the roof of the church was made entirely of a single pine tree.
Beyond the pine landscape, a large the century-old olive trees that are preserved as well as the large areas of grain that in the summer look like a golden lake and turn green in the winter rest the eye and create a very pleasant feeling.
Like many other villages and settlements in Cyprus, Delikipos also seems to have been a fief during the medieval years. Delikipos also appears on Venetian maps and manuscripts and according to the Great Cypriot Encyclopedia the village is marked on medieval maps as “Dilichiper”.
Near the settlement there is also a lake that fills with water during the first rains that creates small waterfalls, while important points of interest are the old bridges. create a community park as well as a nature trail for visitors. Finally, if you are lucky you can meet foxes, goats and donkeys!
