The Association of Major Developments welcomes the recent decision of the Council of Ministers to promote the creation of a marina in Paphos, with residential and commercial areas, a hotel and a jetty for luxury cruise ships.
A large and important project, not only for Paphos, but also for Cyprus tourism which will create additional business opportunities and more income for the local economy, but also for various villages in the Paphos area, as well as Polis Chrysochous apartment.
Representing some of the largest projects that have been implemented throughout free Cyprus, we know very well that such developments contribute the most to the local economy, especially in difficult times like the one we are going through. The creation of a marina in Paphos will be a pole of attraction for new large investments while it will be a springboard for the development of maritime tourism in Cyprus.
As the Association of Major Developments we welcome the decision of the Ministry, however highlighting the need for immediate routing of the procedures. We call on the new government to proceed as soon as possible with the preparation of the terms of the Public Offer as any delay works only to the detriment of the project and the wider economy.
