In the streets of Limassol the Carnival King, the Limassol Maharachias

Sending a message of hope, in the midst of a pandemic, the Municipality of Limassol strengthens the carnival mood, bringing to the streets of the city the chariot with last year's King “Limassol”.

With a new, revised announcement for the events it plans, the Municipality of Limassol states that this year's Limassol Carnival will have a different character, but will have the same goal as every year, ie to offer the world joy, fun and optimism for a better tomorrow.

Specifically, according to the revised program, the King “Limassol, the maharaja of the city will roam the main streets of Limassol, from 16:00 to 18:00, Swan Thursday, March 4, Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 14 , giving a carnival note to the city.

Based on the epidemiological data so far, three exhibitions have been planned, with the first one concerning a painting exhibition, in collaboration with the Association of Self-taught Painters (ENAZ), at the Municipal Palace (from Friday, March 5, during opening hours). offices of the Municipality).

The other two exhibitions, photography and cartoon, will be at the Panos Solomonidis Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Cyprus Photographic Company – Limassol branch and the Association of Cypriot Cartoonists “GEL.A” and the “Cartoon and Sketch Laboratory”, respectively. The two exhibitions will be open on March 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00.

The rest of the events of the Municipality of Limassol will be online, which expect to bring the carnival mood to the homes of all Cypriots. Specifically the events are:

Friday 5.3.2021 – Pattiheio Municipal Theater 19:00 p.m. Performance “You got up”.

Tuesday 9.3.2021 – Pattiheio Municipal Theater 19:00 p.m. Pellomaska and smart costume competition accompanied by DJ MadMax.

Friday 12.3.2021 – Pattiheio Municipal Theater 19:00 p.m. Performance “As if it were yesterday”.

Saturday 13.3.2021 – Pattiheio Municipal Theater 19:00 p.m. Cantador Night.
