Sampling units for rapid tests are operating in two places today, Friday, in Paphos. In an announcement, the Ministry of Health informs that for today the sampling units for the control of the general population with rapid antigen test will be located at the Citizen Service Center in Paphos, on Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue from 08:30 to 17:00 in the afternoon .
Also in the parking lot “ERA KORIVOS” at 2 Dimokratias Avenue, next to the Paphian Stadium from 09:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, 517 samples were taken yesterday as part of the passenger control at Larnaca and Paphos Airports without detecting a case. In the five points that were carried out rapid tests in Paphos and in the District of Paphos yesterday, a total of 827 tests were performed in the course of which 25 positive cases were identified.
Specifically, in the mobile unit in Paphos at Point A, 272 rapid tests were performed with 8 positive results, in the mobile unit at Point B in the central area, 235 tests were performed, of which 10 were positive.
Also, in Stroumbi 76 rapid tests were performed without the detection of any positive cases, in Kathikas 132 rapid tests were performed without the detection of any case. Moreover, rapid tests were performed on Ineia 112 in number with the detection of 7 positive tests. The overall positivity rate is 3.02%.
Citizens will be informed of the result of their laboratory test by text message within 24 hours, but also in writing, if they wish, by the mobile units within 30 'of the sampling.
Meanwhile, vaccinations continue at Paphos General Hospital. Yesterday, the Director of the General Hospital of Paphos, Dr. Spyros Georgiou who said that the vaccinations at the General Hospital of Paphos will continue today.
