On Tuesday, September 5, the opening of the state-of-the-art factory of Alambra Fresh Milk took place.
More than 500 guests attended the event, with the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis and the Speaker of the Parliament, Annita Dimitriou. They were attended by personalities from both the political and business spheres, as well as associates and friends of Alambra Fresh Milk.

The Petrou family, with 40 years of experience in the production of dairy products, occupies a leading position in the production and export of halloumi. The Alambra Fresh Milk unit is one of the most modern bottling units for fresh milk and natural juices, with state-of-the-art equipment that guarantees quality and consumer safety.
In his speech, the CEO of Alambra Fresh Milk, Mr. Giorgos Petrou, gave a brief historical review of the company, how it started and what its course was. Mr. Petrou made a special mention of his mother, Grandma Kakoullou, for whom, as a small tribute, they launched the brand of traditional dairy products “I YAGIA” 20 years ago, with Grandma Kakoullou's photo printed on the packaging and arriving daily in consumers' homes.

Mr. Petrou said he was proud of the new fresh milk bottling unit, promising that, “we will continue to grow, promote the Cypriot tradition, open new jobs, with respect, honesty and love for consumers, workers, the environment and all our partners, satisfying the needs of even the most demanding consumer”.
Speaking during the opening ceremony and on the occasion of the launch of Alambra fresh Cypriot milk, the Commercial Director of Alambra Fresh Milk, Mr. Michalis Petrou, said that, “with a beacon of our tradition and dedicated to our goal of producing quality products, we go one step further”, while he added, “our Milk is a product created from our dedication to quality, our dedication to tradition, our dedication to people”. Referring to the facilities, Mr. Petrou underlined that Alhambra fresh Cypriot milk “is produced in a state-of-the-art factory, with an investment of 10 million euros and European-standard, state-of-the-art equipment, which, while respecting the environment, guarantees the constant quality and freshness of its our milk”.

The goal, as underlined by Mr. Petrou, is for the Alhambra dairy industry to continue offering consumers quality pure products, studying and following the trend of modern consumer. It is noted that the line of Fresh Cypriot Alhambra Milk consists of Full, Light, Skimmed, Lactose Free and Full or Light.
In the greeting addressed by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, he made special reference to the significant and multi-year contribution of the Alhambra dairy industry both to the industry itself and to the economic industry of Cyprus. Alhambra's activity in the field of export has contributed significantly to the increase in exports of Cypriot products, the President pointed out.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Ms. Annita Dimitriou, in her speech also referred to the contribution of the Petros family to the economy of Cyprus, characterizing the Alhambra dairy industry as an important organization for the Cypriot economy.

The beautiful opening night was accompanied by a reception that followed for all the guests, with an artistic program by the musical group Angelos Augusti – Maria Theodotou & Friends.
