Under the title “Big increase in travelers” Halkin Cessi writes today that according to official data, “there continues to be an increase in the number of foreigners visiting the pseudo-state in 2022, compared to the last two years.   ;
According to the IGT, the publication adds that in the last 9 months of this year, 981,684 travelers arrived in the occupied territories, of which 764,000 were from Turkey and 218,000 from third countries.
Noting that there was a record increase in tax of 229.5% compared to last year in the number of visitors, the newspaper writes that during the same period, there was also a record increase (256.6%) compared to last year, in the number of visitors of Turkish origin, after arriving in the occupied 763,748 Turkish citizens.
According to the data, of the 981,684 visitors who arrived in the first 9 months of 2022, 70.54% chose to stay in tourist accommodation. Specifically, out of a total of 692,440 people who spent the night in hotels, 497,582 are of Turkish origin and 194,858 are citizens of third countries.
