Images that do not care about honor in a modern state and a modern city such as Limassol we saw once again at the weekend after the rains of the past 24 hours. Roads and premises are flooded, the water rises in shops at a height of 30 and 40 cm, while cars that were on the road and in parking lots on the coast of Limassol and on the pier were moved. Of course, all this does not happen for the first time as almost every year we witness similar incidents whenever the weather is rainy. Citizens are now outraged as they are called upon to cover the damage every year. They accuse the competent authorities of both the municipality and the state of oligarchy, from which they expect, as they say, to receive services and infrastructure worthy of the money they pay every year as citizens and as citizens. They throw accusations for sloppiness in the implementation of some renovation projects but also for indifference on the part of those in charge. As can be easily seen from the result and from the images we saw last weekend, projects that should have been done several years ago, have not been completed, with the result that the necessary solutions are not given.
