The Education Creativity Center< announced the official opening of its operation strong> (ECC),a new professional development and research center in Cyprus, which aims to provide innovative training to teachers, education officers, counselors, and parents.
The mission of the Center is to offer practical solutions to all participants, based on modern research and practices. ECC seminars will be available in face-to-face and/or hybrid and fully online formats, as well as through synchronous and asynchronous learning formats, ensuring maximum flexibility for all learners.
ECC's training programs are designed to provide participants with research-based knowledge and skills that can be directly applied to their work and personal lives. All courses are delivered by experienced professionals and established partners in the fields of education, counseling psychology, and parent education. Upon completion of all workshops, participants will receive a certificate that highlights the importance of the training and the participants' dedication to their continued development, both professionally and personally.
The Education Creativity Center ( ECC) is the result of extensive research and development by a team of experienced professionals, in collaboration with the well-known International Kindergarten “Little Stars Montessori”, which has been providing education based on the Montessori method in Cyprus for the last 16 years.
For the start of its operation, ECC has entered into a strategic partnership with the humanitarian organization “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, to offer a series of informative seminars and practical tools to parents, on important issues concerning the welfare, education, and support of children's development. The first seminar on “Managing Children's Emotions” (Managing Children’s Emotions), is addressed to parents of children aged 12-18 years and will take place on < strong>Thursday May 11, 2023, from 18:00-20:00 at the Stelios Charitable Foundation, located at 5 Markou Drakou Street, Nicosia. A second seminar on “Managing Children's Emotions”, aimed at parents of children aged 3-11, will take place on May 25, 2023. The participation fee is €40.
The Managing Children's Emotions course was developed based on the claim that emotion regulation is a key milestone in child development, influencing academic performance, long-term mental health and the ability to thrive in a complex world. This seminar aims to explain the concept of emotional regulation and present strategies for parents to help their children develop this skill. Topics covered in the seminar include the importance of emotional regulation, how this skill is developed in children, and the role of parents in helping children acquire self-regulation skills. The seminar will also explore differences in emotional regulation in infants, children, and adolescents. The seminar will include theory, group discussion, and interactive exercises.
The seminar will be held in English and places are limited to 40 to ensure the maximum and as immediate participation of the participants as possible. Those interested in attending the 'Managing Children's Emotions' seminar can register via the ECC online registration form.
