With great success and interest from its Member Companies, the Cyprus Maritime Chamber held its Monthly Meeting of Members, on October 21, in Limassol within the framework of its monthly information and contact with its Members. The topic of the Monthly Meeting was the presentation of the integrated Maritime Strategy “SEA Change 2030”, of the Ministry of Shipping, with the Deputy Speaker, the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Mr. Vassilis Dimitriadis.

Mr. Dimitriadis referred to the targeted strategy of 35 Actions, which focuses on the pillars of Sustainability, Extroversion and Adaptability, in order to further upgrade the Cypriot Shipping, to an even more modern and dynamic one while maintaining its leading position in the face of competition. its significant support to the Cypriot Economy. He also thanked the Maritime Chamber and its Members for their contribution to the public consultation, presenting the suggestions and challenges faced by the Cyprus Maritime Industry.
The Maritime Chamber expressed its readiness to continue its already close cooperation with the Ministry of Shipping, contributing in various ways to the implementation of this Strategy, for an even stronger and more sustainable Cypriot Shipping.
During the meeting, a modest donation ceremony of € 10,000 was also held at the Pancyprian Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases “One Dream, One Wish”, an amount which came from the proceeds of the established annual charity Volleyball Tournament, which Maritime Chamber between its Member Companies, in September 2021. The check was delivered by the President of the Maritime Chamber, Mr. Themis Papadopoulos, to the President of the Association, Mr. George Penidaex.
