A mission of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus) participated in the leading conference for the tourism investment industry, International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF), which was held for the 24th year in Berlin. This year 's conference was hosted by more than 2,000 senior executives and institutional investors in the industry, and was attended by more than 180 keynote speakers who developed important topics and captured international investment trends in the post – pandemic hospitality sector.
During the conference, the Invest Cyprus delegation had the opportunity to hold a series of meetings with institutional investors, investment fund executives as well as with international hotel chains. In addition, Invest Cyprus, & nbsp; organized a round table discussion with invited representatives of foreign investment organizations informing them about current developments and investment prospects in the sector. The discussion was also attended by Thanos Michailidis, CEO of Thanos Hotels, Marios Ioannou, CFO of Louis PLC and Christoforos Anagiotos, CEO and Head of Deal Advisory of KPMG Cyprus.
In addition, the Investment Promotion Officer of Invest Cyprus, Ms. Stefani Panagi, had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with representatives of the respective investment organizations of Greece and Morocco, presenting the latest developments in the economy and tourism and highlighting the opportunities and advantages offered by Cyprus to foreign investors. “Despite the ongoing challenges, the indications for 2022 are very encouraging, and it is with great pleasure that we see the interest of foreign investors remain undiminished for both the ongoing projects and new developments,” said Ms. Panagi. >
In addition to promotion abroad, Invest Cyprus acts as the first point of contact for foreign investors, offering comprehensive information services as well as the opportunity to organize visits to our country to potential investors.
