The Cyprus companies that believed in the development prospects of Cyprus, investing in our country and contributing to the development of the economy, were awarded by the Cyprus Investment Promotion Organization (Invest Cyprus), in the framework of the 9th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards ceremony.

The Invest Cyprus Awards – which returned after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic – were held under the auspices of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis. The awards ceremony took place on the night of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the gardens of the Presidential Palace, in the presence of foreign investors, the business world and the political and state leadership of the place.

The winners of this year's awards were the companies: PLUS 500, ENESEL LIMITED , ESYBRAIN LTD , EXNESS , PARIMATCH TECH and NEXTERS , as well as the businessman Teddy Sagi .

In his greeting, the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, emphasized the great importance of the awards, which, as he stated, are a first-class opportunity for the Republic of Cyprus to express its appreciation and gratitude to the foreign businessmen who gave a vote of confidence. in the Cypriot economy, investing in our country. The President made special mention of the important role played by Invest Cyprus and the intensive efforts it makes to promote Cyprus as an investment destination and as a competitive business center abroad. He also referred to the latest reforms implemented by the Government to improve the investment climate in the country, as well as the next steps of the government in this direction. As he explained, the Government will announce in the coming months a new incentive regime for attracting high-tech companies, which will facilitate the establishment and hiring of employees, while offering tax incentives and fast licensing procedures.

On behalf of Invest Cyprus, the event was greeted by the General Manager of the Organization, George Kabanelas, who referred to the huge benefits to the Cypriot economy by attracting foreign investment and international companies that choose to settle in our country. Describing the progress made, even under the difficult conditions created by the pandemic, Mr. Kabanellas highlighted the contribution of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Organization in its efforts to reduce the economic recession, return to growth and create long-term prosperous conditions. In addition, Mr. Kabanellas, placed special emphasis on one of the main pillars of the Organization's Strategy, which was implemented in 2019, and concerns the efforts made by Invest Cyprus in order to make Cyprus an attractive destination for international technology companies.
