The Tax Department participated in the investigation conducted by the European Public Prosecutor's Office at the same time and in cooperation with 14 countries of the European Union including Cyprus, with the aim of uncovering a complex system of VAT fraud (carousel fraud) in the field of selling popular electronic goods.
As reported by the GTP, as the competent Authority for the investigation of cases of this kind, the Tax Department participated in this research where he collected useful data and information which will be sent to the E.U. for further analysis and processing.
