According to information from KYPE, the investigative team of the Police in a meeting today will evaluate the testimony given yesterday by the Olympian of the shooting for sexual abuse by a sports factor and will decide on how to proceed with the investigation of the case.
According to the same information, the case will be undertaken by specialized personnel in matters of sexual harassment and sexual abuse, while it should be taken for granted that testimonies will be taken from sports agents, the CMO and the Shooting Federation of Cyprus.
Yesterday, the athlete made an official complaint to the Police for the sexual abuse she received from a sports agent a few years ago, after a meeting she had with the Minister of Justice and Public Order Emily Giolitis.
During this meeting, the Minister congratulated the athlete for the courage she showed and assured her that both the State and she personally will support her throughout the process.
