Iran started high schools near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian armed forces today launched exercises in the southeastern part of the country, near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

“Exercises of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in an area of more than one million kilometers east of the Straits of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman and north of the Indian Ocean have begun,” the state-run television network said. which included helicopters, tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, warships and speedboats.

“These high schools are a serious warning to the enemies and those with bad intentions towards Iran,” said Zolfaqar-1400 high school spokesman Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, according to iribnews, the country's state-run television network.

On Wednesday, Revolutionary Guards announced that they had recently thwarted an attempt by the US Navy to seize a tanker carrying Iranian oil in the Sea of Oman.

Washington has denied the allegations, saying US forces were “just watching the situation closely.”
