Shocking new findings are coming to light regarding the death of the baby of Katerina, a friend of Irini Mourtzoukou, who suddenly lost her baby, while she had left it to the 24-year-old to take care of it.

It is December 8, 2020. Katerina is at home with Irene and her 5-month-old daughter. As they were playing with her, the mother – in Irene's presence – suddenly saw her daughter lose contact with the environment.
“They told me it was due to loss of consciousness. His eyes rolled back at some point and I took him to the hospital by ambulance,” Katerina said.
“A 5-month-old infant is being transported by ambulance due to a reported episode of loss of consciousness accompanied by flaccidity of the trunk and limbs and eyeball rotation lasting 2-3 minutes 30 minutes ago.”
“It was not an epileptic seizure”
As revealed yesterday (25/11) by the Live News show, the technical advisor to the baby's mother, Dimitris Galenteris, will argue in his report that this incident was not an epileptic seizure, but an incident of loss of consciousness.
The baby is undergoing all the tests and apart from a urinary tract infection, the doctors find nothing else in the otherwise healthy little girl.
“I have been to the hospital with my daughter. We had done tests. We had done everything, we had sent tests all the way to Athens. They came out clean,” emphasizes the infant's mother.
Katerina's baby's 2nd episode
In the two weeks of hospitalization, the infant had one and only one episode. The shocking thing is that this one and only time, only Irene was present in the hospital room.
“And the second episode happened in the hospital, where Irene was keeping her. I remember it very well because Katerina left it with Irene to go take a bath,” said the infant's stepfather.
Irene calls Katerina to return to the hospital immediately while the doctors come upon the child and bring him back.
“During the third 24-hour hospitalization, the infant presented a new episode of loss of consciousness with weakness of the trunk and limbs, loss of muscle tone and vertigo lasting 2 minutes. He then presented gaze fixation with mussing, masticatory movements, tonic-clonic contractions of the lower limb and then resumption of vertigo with loss of stool”.
Doctors are preemptively administering antiepileptic medication even though there has been no official diagnosis of epilepsy.
As Live News reveals today, the technical advisor's report on the infant's family states that “asphyxiated infants typically present with unexplained apnea, cyanosis or seizures due to lack of oxygen in the brain cells”.
The 3rd and last episode of of Katerina's baby
The third episode took place on February 4, 2021, again at home, with only Irene present.
The file was then closed with the death attributed to pathological causes.
It is worth mentioning that while Irene appeared certain that the child's death was related to the seizures that she says she was experiencing at home.
“They informed us that she probably died from a heart attack and from the problem she had. I believe that her death was due to pathological causes,” Irene stated in her statement on 04/02/2021.
The child's mother left the hospital not knowing what caused the child's death.
“They informed me that my child died without knowing the reason. I do not know the cause of my child's death. I believe that his death was due to pathological causes,” says Katerina in her statement at the time.
However, in addition to Katerina's baby, Irini's second baby also had seizures, which also ended up dying.
And little Frederiki was hospitalized for days without the doctors being able to figure out what was causing the seizures, just like what happened with Katerina's baby.
“I believe that Irene harmed my child”
While the infant's mother, Katerina, speaking to Live News about her child's episode in the hospital, described that she had left the infant with Irene, so that she could go home to take a bath. As she said, in less than an hour, the 24-year-old contacted her to tell her that the baby had a seizure.
“Irene called me and said, 'Come quickly, the child has had another seizure.'” Since the doctors put a monitor on the child, he has not lost consciousness again.”
