The Israeli Prime Minister had a surprise in store during his joint statements with Kyriakos Mitsotakis . Speaking about the pandemic, Mr. Netanyahu took a vial out of his pocket, which contained medicine against the coronavirus that Israel is testing.
It is an inhaled preparation, which has been tested on patients in Israel and, according to Mr. Netanyahu, has spectacular results.
Mr Mitsotakis, for his part, said he was “very happy to have discussed this new drug”, noting that “Greece will take part in the clinical trials”.
“I am just happy to have talked about this new drug, which has caught the interest of the international press. As soon as we overcome the regulatory obstacles, which can be done very quickly, it will be our great pleasure for Greece to participate in the clinical trials. So let's hope it's effective. “We will be really relieved if a drug can be found that can cure the disease,” he said.
Mr. Mitsotakis congratulated Mr. Netanyahu “for the fast pace at which you are vaccinating your citizens”.
