With the help of virtual reality archaeologists at a Swedish university rebuilt a famous Pompeii mansion.

The ancient house of Pompeii known as the “House of Epigrams”, which was excavated in the 1870s, has recently been “brought to life” through virtual reality.

According to an artnews report, the house contains mythical paintings that accompanied by inscriptions in Greek while its rich decoration and impressive murals reveal that it belonged to a significant family of the time.

It is interesting that according to the researchers, only the front of the house was visible, since the interior rooms with the best decorative elements seem to have been enjoyed only by the very familiar faces of the homeowners.
