The opinion that it is unthinkable for foreign referees to come from the first matches of the championship was expressed by the president of AEK, Andros Karapatakis, in his statements to RIK.
“It's a huge issue. There are problems. Moves are being made to correct certain things. It is not possible to bring in foreign referees from the first matches, we are not serious and there is no need.
It was decided to promote new kids, when new referees come in we have to be patient. We agents must stop using arbitration as a scapegoat.
We have to be serious, keep a low profile because we will do more damage. There are problems, the authorities are trying to solve them. “There are competent bodies for anyone who has complaints.”
