Willy Semedo returns from the Africa Cup of Nations and will be at his disposal for the first time Chetil Rekdal in Friday's match (9/2, 19:00) with Anorthosis at GSP.
The clover hopes that their top player will be in the condition he was in when he left for the Ivory Coast. We remind you that Semedo had eight goals and five assists in 17 league appearances!
However, the time the African played with his national team can be described as… ideal for Omonia. He wasn't a starter in all the matches, which would have put a lot of strain on his body, but he wasn't inactive either, which would also have been “worth it”.
Semedo played as a substitute in the first two games, a starter in the third (and throughout its duration) and a change in the last two, with the footnote that in the quarter-final he took a respectable amount of time as the match went into overtime and recorded 55 minutes. In total, his playing time in the five matches of his national team corresponds to two full ninety minutes.
