The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Giannis Karousos, and the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Vassilis Dimitriadis, who are part of the delegation visiting Dubai, under the President, met today with senior officials of DP World in Dubai. of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis.

We met with the CEO of the company and we were shown the new technologies related to the management of ports, especially containers, and they showed us technology that they intend to soon transfer to Cyprus .
We also discussed several issues related to port management, as well as our future plans in Cyprus. One of the new investments coming to Cyprus is the port of Vasilikos. We are preparing the offers now together with a consultant and in a year from now we will be ready to announce the offer to attract an investor, who will undertake the construction of the new port in Vasiliko, where the industrial port of Cyprus will be. p>
The port of Dubai is the 9th largest in the world, employs 250 thousand workers and employees in the port, is an example to emulate and we have much to learn from the management of Dubai ports in Cyprus.
