The Cyprus-US bilateral partnership and prospects for regional co-operation on energy issues were discussed during a meeting between Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulidis and State Department Advisor on Energy Security Policy in Amos Hogstein, Washington. .
Mr. Kasoulides, who is concluding his visit to the United States, wrote on his Twitter account that he had “a useful meeting” with Mr. Hokstein.
“Exchange of views on clean energy co-operation, the Cyprus-US bilateral partnership, prospects for regional co-operation on energy issues,” he added.
Earlier, the State Department posted a tweet stating that Mr. Kasoulides had a “productive meeting” with President Gregory Mick and members of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee.
The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the bipartisan support in the deepening of the Cyprus-US relationship, the 3 + 1 cooperation mechanism and a “sustainable solution to the Cyprus problem in accordance with the UN resolutions”.
