What is it ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurobiological disorders of childhood, which continues, to a significant extent, into adulthood. It occurs in 5-7% of the student population with a ratio typically 3:1 in favor of boys.
Despite being such a common condition, ADHD continues to be poorly understood in the community and not it is accepted by all scientific and social groups.
Children with ADHD are usually seen by specialists between the ages of 3 and 7. Recognition of the problem coincides, in most cases, with school integration, because of the increased demands on concentration, organization and compliance with rules.
