Transportation of more than 3500 pallets of humanitarian aid is underway from the sea corridor “Amalthia” from Cyprus, through the port of Ashdod to Gaza
The Republic of Cyprus continues to contribute in every way to the alleviation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, said on Saturday at the KYPE.
He confirmed, in response to a related question, that the transfer of above of 3500 pallets of humanitarian aid from the sea corridor “Amalthia” from Cyprus, through the port of Ashdod to Gaza.

The project (of the transfer of humanitarian aid through the sea corridor), he said, continues in cooperation with involved partners and within the framework of the 2720 mechanism of United Nations.
“The Republic of Cyprus continues to contribute in every way to the alleviation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The relevant issues and the next steps were discussed at the meeting of the Foreign Ministry with the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid and the Reconstruction of Gaza”, he noted.
