Significant improvement of the weather and gradual noticeable rise of the temperature is expected from tomorrow, however, some isolated phenomena are not excluded during the noon/afternoon hours for the next two days.
Today Thursday, our region will continue to be affected by the cut low in the middle troposphere and shallow barometric low in the surface.
In the last hours, the clouds started to increase from the west while at the same time, clouds started to develop mainly in the mountainous/semi-mountainous volume of the island, which started to give individual phenomena.

In the next few hours, the clouds will continue to increase and local rains/thunderstorms are expected, which will be more generalized and more intense in the mountainous/semi-mountainous and southern 1/3 of the island. Some thunderstorms will be intense and will be accompanied by small-caliber hail, with the possibility of local light hail. The effects from about 1100 meters and above will be in the form of snow, with snowfalls from about 1200 meters and above while in a storm the effects will extend up to about 100 meters below. The snowfalls mainly in areas that will be affected by storms will be in places dense with heavy snowfalls mainly from 1300 meters and above. During the evening hours, local rains are initially expected, mainly in the western 1/2 of the island, without excluding isolated thunderstorms in the northwest. Gradually after midnight, a significant improvement of the weather is expected, with any phenomena becoming isolated and limited mainly to northwestern parts of the island and the Troodos area. The phenomena from about 1100 meters and above will be in the form of snow, with snowfalls from about 1200 meters and above, while in case of a storm, the phenomena will extend up to about 100 meters below.
The temperature will rise, to fluctuate around 3-6 degrees Celsius below normal for the season, reaching around 13 to 15 degrees Celsius in the interior lowlands of the island, around 15 to 16 degrees Celsius on the coast and around -1 degrees Celsius in Chionistra where frost will prevail.

Tomorrow Friday, The disturbance affecting our region in the last few days will have moved farther east resulting in a significant improvement in the weather in most areas, however, it is not excluded that a few more isolated phenomena will be observed on the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains and further south at noon/afternoon. . At the same time, a closed low in the middle troposphere in the Black Sea will move rapidly south to Turkey.
The temperature will rise slightly further, but remain at levels below normal for the season (by about 2-4 degrees Celsius), reaching around 15 to 17 degrees Celsius in the interior lowland parts of the island, around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius on the coast and around 2 degrees Celsius in Chionistra where frost will prevail.
On Saturday , the closed low in the middle troposphere will be in the region of Turkey and will temporarily affect our region as it moves fast to the east. This will result in clouds that will develop in the central eastern parts of the island during the noon/afternoon hours are expected to give individual.
The temperature will rise slightly further, to fluctuate around the normal for the season levels to a little lower.
Good weather conditions seem to follow from Sunday until the end of the month, with the temperature gradually rising and until the beginning of April the temperature may approach or even to reach 30 degrees Celsius in the lowlands.
