The investigation into the attack against the World Central Kitchen teamin Gaza must be swift, thorough and accountable, Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos said in a post on Platform X on Thursday.
As reported, during his communication last night with Chef Jose Andres, Mr. Kombos conveyed the deepest condolences of the Cyprus Government “for the tragic loss of 7 fearless heroes of humanity who were helping people on the ground.”
“Dear Jose, we mourn with you. We are working closely with the World Central Kitchen team and share the pain this tragedy has caused the World Central Kitchen family,” noted the Foreign Minister, adding that Cyprus strongly condemns all acts of violence against humanitarian workers, who they must always be protected, according to international humanitarian law.
“The investigation must be swift, thorough and accountable,” concluded Mr. Kombos.
