KOAG: Clarifications for the 32 housing units in Larnaca

The Cyprus Land Development Organization issued clarifications regarding the construction of 32 housing units in the parish of Agios Nikolaos Larnaca.

As mentioned, it is a project that is promoted exclusively by KOAG and the decision was made several months ago. It is noted that the land on which the units will be built is also owned by KOAG.

The announcement as it is

The construction project of 32 housing units in the parish of Agios Nikolaos Larnaca is promoted exclusively by the Cyprus Land Development Organization (KOAG) following a decision taken months ago by its Board of Directors. This decision has been announced in various ways for several months.

In fact, the results of the architectural competition have recently been made public.

It is noted that the land on which the units will be built is also owned by KOAG.

Part of the units will be available as affordable housing to the medically paid households, while the rest of the units will be allocated with the innovative program of affordable rent to low paid households.

It is further clarified that for the specific project, the contribution of the Municipality of Larnaca is limited to its role as a Competent Authority, regarding the licensing of development.

Remaining faithful to our commitment, as expressed two years ago, for cooperation with those Municipalities that wish to proceed with joint development, we are ready to evaluate all the proposals that will be presented to us.

The example of our cooperation with the Municipality of Limassol for the joint development of 600 housing units, we hope to prove only the beginning of similar collaborations that will act as a catalyst in alleviating the housing problem in our country.

Marios Pelekanos

Chairman of the Board KOAG
