On Wednesday, the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Kyriakos Kousios continues his meetings with the social partners regarding the institution of Automatic Price Adjustment (ATA).
Specifically, as the KYPE is informed, on Wednesday 11.15 in the morning, Mr. Kousios will meet at the Ministry of Labor with the unions SEK, PEO and DEOK.
The next day, Thursday, will take place at 14.00 joint meeting of trade unions and employers' organizations with the Minister of Labour.
Through his mediation, which began on November 7, the Minister of Labor aims to lead the two sides, trade unions and employers' organisations, to a consensual agreement about what is happening with the institution of ATA.
OEB and KEBE are asking for the abolition of ATA, while on the other hand, the trade unions are asking for 100% of ATA, instead of the 50% that is given today.
Based on the transitional agreement signed between Mr fiber partners in July 2017 and which lasted until 2020, ATA will be paid once a year and at 50% of the annual increase in the Consumer Price Index (inflation). The agreement had been extended until the end of 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
