Today, the Police proceeded to arrest a 32-year-old resident of Larnaca. to facilitate investigations, regarding a case of robbery, committed in Larnaca.
The case was reported to the Police, by a 65-year-old woman, on August 5. According to the complainant, around 2pm of the same day, while she was in an open area, in Larnaca, she was approached by an unknown man on foot, who grabbed the bag she was holding. The 65-year-old woman resisted, as a result of which the perpetrator produced a sharp object and slightly wounded her in the hand. After the perpetrator managed to snatch the bag, he fled in a car, in an unknown direction.
From the Police examinations, a testimony was obtained against the 32-year-old, on the basis of which a warrant was issued for his arrest. The 32-year-old was located today and arrested on a warrant. He was subsequently taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
The Oroklini Police Station is investigating the case.
