According to the Police, a police operation was carried out last night in the province of Larnaca, as part of an information evaluation, for the illegal operation of a premises (nightclub). During the operation, it was found that the premises in question operated in secret and in such a way that its operation could not be perceived. Upon the entry of the members of the Police in the premises, it was ascertained that it was in operation, as it was transmitting music through loudspeakers (three persons who worked as DJs were identified), while in various places inside the premises, 14 hidden patrons were found.
All 17 above-mentioned persons, according to the announcement of the Police, were accused out of court for violation of the Law on Infectious Diseases (300 euros), while the person in charge of the premises was reported for operating the premises in violation of the Infection Treatment Law, as well as for operating without permission from the CTO, without a license to sell alcoholic beverages, without a license to use loudspeakers and for allowing smoking to patrons.
Due to the seriousness of the crimes against the person in charge of the premises, a relevant criminal case was filed and he will be brought before the Larnaca District Court tomorrow, for an immediate trial of the case.
