Decade projects that are estimated to amount to 324 million euros include the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy for the city and the wider Larnaca area 2021 – 2030 .
An announcement states that yesterday, Thursday 25 February 2021, during the teleconference was presented the Study of Sustainable Urban Development Strategy for the city and the wider Larnaca area 2021 – 2030, which includes the Municipalities of Larnaca, Aradippou, Livadia, Dromolaxia – Meneou Voroklini Council.
The presentation was made to the Evaluation Committee and all the collaborating Mayors and Common Mayors were present.
It adds that “the Strategy includes projects of a decade which are estimated to amount to around 324 million euros and will be co-financed by various Funds. Some of these projects are of inter-municipal importance and with their implementation their cohesion will serve more than one Municipality or Community “.
According to the announcement of the Municipality of Larnaca, “the purpose of this study is to promote sustainable and balanced development in the region through the implementation of Integrated Spatial Development Strategy for Sustainable Development of the wider area of the urban and suburban complex of Larnaca. Among other things, it envisages cooperation for the coordinated response of the complex economic, social, demographic and environmental needs and challenges of the region “.
