Members of the Police, in the context of checks to prevent fatal and serious road collisions, detected last night and early today, in province of Larnaca, two persons, driving with alcohol levels that far exceeded the permitted limit.
In the first case, shortly after 10 pm, in a breathalyzer test carried out on a 39-year-old driver, it was found that he was driving under the influence the influence of alcohol, with a rate (final reading) of 139μg instead of 22μg.
In the second case, the members of the Police, shortly after 3 am, detected a 31-year-old driver, driving under the influence alcohol level, with an alcohol percentage (final reading) of 111μg instead of 22μg.
Both drivers are expected to be summoned at a later stage before the Court.
