AEK, the runner-up, is slowly getting on the road to preparation. The football players are enjoying the last weekend of carefree as from Monday the “suffering” begins, initially with the ergometric and medical tests on the two days of June 17-18, and later with the first training sessions. On 19/6 the Larnaca team will find out their opponent for the second qualifying round of the Conference League. AEK announced that the established consecration for the new football season will be held on Monday afternoon (24/06). We remind you that the day after tomorrow Monday, at 11:00, the press conference for the official presentation of the team's new coach, the Spaniard Juan Ferrado, will take place.

The presentation of the 43-year-old technician will take place in the conference room of “AEK Arena”. The yellow-greens will leave on June 26 for the city of Tegelen in the Netherlands, where they will carry out the main stage of their preparation until July 7. During their stay in the Netherlands, they will play three friendly games, against De Bos (Netherlands Second Division) on June 29, PAOK on July 3 and Belgian Circle Bruges on July 6.

Additions expected

The coming week is expected to be decisive in terms of some of the transfer pending issues that concern the team. Xavi Roca wishes, as before the departure for the Netherlands, to have clarified the issue with Enzo Cabrera as well as the cases of Pons and Tongia, which, depending on their outcome, will also determine the subsequent transfer moves. So far, AEK have acquired 29-year-old defender Godswill Ekpolo, 33-year-old goalkeeper Zlatan Alomerovic and 32-year-old right-back Mario Dimitriou. Triskovski, Lopes, Casas, Tomovic, Diunku, Ererin and Piric are officially past members of the team. On the contrary, Garcia, Gama, Naum and Paraskeva renewed. Regarding the matter created with Hrvoge Milisevic, AEK's position is clear that there is no question of his concession.

Meanwhile, the regular general meeting of AEK members will take place next Thursday, June 20, at 6.30pm, at the Radisson Blu hotel. Andros Karapatakis is expected to receive a mandate to continue leading the union for the next two years.
