Problems continue to occur on roads in the mountains, but also on the Paphos – Limassol highway, due to the prevailing winter weather conditions. The Police recommends special attention to those who will travel on the road network.
On the Paphos – Limassol highway, especially in the section from the Konia roundabout, to the Kolonis area, frost has formed on the road, with the result that the road is dangerously slippery.
In the mountains, the Prodromou – Troodos road remains closed due to snowfall, while the Palaichori – Agros road is now open to traffic, however only for vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains.
Also open ONLY for vehicles with all-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains are the roads:

The road Kakopetria – Karvouna and the road Kalopanagioti are open for all vehicles but slippery due to frost.
In the wider area of Troodos, dense fog prevails, with the result that visibility on the roads is limited.
Drivers of vehicles traveling on the mountain road network are encouraged to drive safely, at low speeds, to keep a safe distance from oncoming vehicles and to give priority to other vehicles where needed.
It is pointed out that the situation in the road network in the mountains is changing due to the prevailing weather conditions.
