The Development Company of Larnaca – Famagusta Provinces (ANETEL) supports the development and within the framework of the LEADER program, eight investment projects were approved and implemented with a total budget of over three million euros.
An announcement of the Development Company of Larnaca – Famagusta Provinces, states that “the Local Action Team (OTD) implements integrated sustainable development strategies by strengthening the development of rural areas of Larnaca – Famagusta provinces. Through Measure 19 “Support for local development through LEADER” of the Rural Development Program (RDP) 2014 -2020, actions are implemented that aim at rural development, the preservation and promotion of the natural and cultural wealth of the areas for the benefit of the rural population “.
It is added that “in the context of the implementation of Measure 19: Action 19.2.2.- Investment support actions for non-agricultural activities of the LEADER program, eight investment projects were approved with a total project budget of € 3,013 659.56. These projects can be co-financed by 50% by the P.A.A. 2014 -2020 and by 50% with own participation. The minimum amount of sponsorship (Public Financing) is the amount of ten thousand euros and the maximum amount of sponsorship is the amount of two hundred thousand euros, for each investment project “.
The first investment project concerns the construction of a beekeeping theme park of the company “CLR BEEKEEPING LTD” in Skarinou. The building unit consists mainly of the exhibition space, the cafeteria, the product store and the brewery, the project budget is estimated at € 1,130,683.00 and the completion of the project is estimated for July 2021 “.
The construction of the Bee Theme Park of “ANTELIA ENTERPRISES” in Achna is the second of the eight projects approved. The building unit consists mainly of the exhibition space, the cafeteria, the product store, a playground and an outdoor exhibition space with giants. The budget of the project is estimated at 400 thousand euros and the completion of the project is estimated for July 2021 “.
The third project “concerns the” renovation of the agritourism accommodation Iosiphis Stonebuilt House Lefkara in Pano Lefkara. The agritourism accommodation is a building of 1921 and the building unit is made of stone, has two floors and consists of five rooms and a traditional solar panel with the classic arch. It has an inner courtyard which is a special feature of the traditional Leukarite houses, the project budget was estimated at € 38,713.96, the works were completed in August 2020 and the accommodation is operating normally “.
The renovation of the agritourism accommodation of Vasilopoulos House (Authentic Agrotourism Apartments) in Tochni is the fourth project approved. The agritourism accommodation is a building of 1823 and the building unit is made of stone, has two floors and consists of eight rooms. The budget of the project is estimated at € 186,032.00 and its completion is estimated for July 2021 “.
The fifth project concerns the “renovation of the agritourism accommodation of the company” TALANTON SYMPOSIOUM XENIA LTD “in Kalavasos. The agritourism accommodation is a 19th century building and the building unit will consist of seven luxury self-contained apartments. The budget of the project is estimated at € 557,869.00 and its completion is estimated for July 2021 “.
The sixth project concerns the “construction of agritourism accommodation of the company ARCHONTIKO – S. KIVERNITIS LTD. The agritourism accommodation will consist of 10 agritourism apartments, reception, office, staff areas, living room and swimming pool, while one of the apartments will be accessible by people with disabilities. The budget of the project was estimated at € 518,635.80 and its completion is estimated for March 2021 “.
The creation of a jewelry craft store in Oroklini is the seventh project and the building unit will consist of a jewelry store, a jewelry workshop and a kitchen. The crafts that will be available for sale are traditional utensils, necklaces, earrings and rings. The budget of the project was estimated at € 128,357.90 and its completion is estimated for July 2021 “.
Finally, the eighth project concerns the “creation of a retail store of traditional products in Delikipos. The building unit consists of the sales shop and the staff kitchen and will be available for sale traditional products as well as other products of agricultural origin such as dried fruits. The budget of the project was estimated at € 53,367.90 and its completion is estimated for March 2021 “.
