The Press and Information Office (PRS) is interested in hiring services for two (2) people for the needs of the Service, based in Nicosia, in accordance with the terms set out in the Draft entitled “Service Lease Agreement” and invites you, provided that have the required qualifications, as defined below, to submit a Statement of Interest.
The Service Lease Agreement will be valid for a period of one year from the date of signing the contract and may be extended for an additional period not will exceed a total of twenty four (24) months. & nbsp;
Α. Service Object
- Search for news on a specific topic, according to the priorities of the Turkish Affairs Branch of the GTP. Selection of written or oral texts for translation and/or summary through a short meeting (initially the meeting will take place in person, later it can be done online). Translation of selected articles, news, speeches and other texts before 14.00 Cyprus time. The daily volume of texts will amount to one thousand seven hundred words with a deviation of +/- 250 words.
Β. Required Qualifications
1. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; University degree or degree.
2. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Very good knowledge of Turkish language.
3. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Active regular involvement with the Turkish language for the last two (2) years.
4. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Very good knowledge of the Greek language.
5. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Very good knowledge of English.
C. Required Certificates
In order for the Statement of Interest to be accepted and evaluated, it MUST be accompanied by the following certificates:
1. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Copy of university diploma or degree or equivalent and postgraduate diploma (where applicable). & nbsp;
2. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Evidence for the active regular involvement with the Turkish language during the last two years, e.g. Employer certificates, publications, etc.
3. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Copies of certificates of very good knowledge of Turkish, Greek and English (where applicable), as set out in the list of admissible documents of the Public Service Commission (EDC), which is posted on the EDY website (www.psc .gov.cy – Information – Evidence of Language Proficiency).
For Turkish language, as excellent knowledge: (i) degree or postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma from a recognized university in any country in a curriculum whose language of instruction is Turkish. Very good knowledge: (i) Diploma of a recognized Secondary School that has Turkish as its main language of instruction, (ii) bachelor's or master's degree or postgraduate diploma & nbsp; in Turkish Studies of a recognized university institution in any country in a curriculum whose language of instruction is NOT Turkish.
4. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Curriculum vitae.
5. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Photocopy of ID.
Note : In the Declaration of Interest each interested party must attach copies of all the certificates required by the announcement. Original or certified copies of diplomas and certificates to be presented, if requested for verification. Qualifications for which the appropriate evidence is not submitted with the Declaration of Interest will not be considered.
D. Submission of Expression of Interest and deadline
Interested parties must submit by & nbsp; 31 May 2022, Monday, at 11:00 a.m. , & nbsp; DECLARATION OF INTEREST for the provision of services at the Press and Information Office at the email address ([email protected]). Expressions of Interest received after the deadline will not be accepted.
The following information should be included in the email:
1. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; The Letter of Interest, and
2. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; All the necessary certificates listed in paragraph C above.
E. Procedure
1. The selection of the two (2) persons will be made by a three-member Committee, which has been established by the management of the GTP and which will examine the Expressions of Interest and the evidence of the interested applicants/three, in accordance with the terms of this announcement.
2. Applicants who meet the requirements of the competition & nbsp; will be called for an oral interview and will be ranked in order of priority according to the following criteria: & nbsp;

3. The two (2) selected applicants will be invited to sign the “Service Lease Agreement”. The list in the order of classification to be compiled will be valid for a period of two years and will be used in case of need for replacement and/or to provide additional services. & Nbsp;
4. By submitting the STATEMENT of INTEREST, the applicant accepts the terms of this Agreement and in case he is selected, undertakes to arrive, within a specified deadline, for the signing of the relevant Agreement. In case the selected applicant does not arrive for the signing of the Agreement within the set deadline, then the contract can be awarded to the next applicant based on the ranking order that will be created that meets its terms and specifications. competition.
5. Upon signing the Agreement, each selected applicant will have submitted to the GIS a White Criminal Record Certificate. In case of non-submission of the Registry in question, the LAG will not sign an Agreement with the specific applicant.
