Meeting with the Ukrainian Ambassador to Cyprus Ruslan Nimchynsky & nbsp; had today the Board of Directors of the Association of Owners of Leisure Centers of Paphos (SIKAP), on the possibility of Ukrainian refugees working in leisure centers. Apart from the Ambassador, members of the Ukrainian-Cypriot friendship community were present.
& nbsp; The Ukrainian Ambassador welcomed the members of the Association of Leisure Centers, thanked them for their initiative to help the Ukrainian refugees who will come to Cyprus, offering them work. He then referred to the current situation in Ukraine.
For his part, the president of SIKAP Angelos Onisiforou & nbsp; expressed his full solidarity and support for the hard-working people of Ukraine. The Cypriot people, he said, & nbsp; have experienced the painful consequences of the Turkish invasion and continued occupation of part of its territory.
“As Leisure Centers in Paphos and Cyprus in general, since we belong to the pan-Cypriot Federation of Leisure Centers OSIKA, we are ready to offer work to Ukrainian refugees,” said Angelos Onisiforou. “Work in restaurants, taverns, cafes, etc., with accommodation and food.”
After the departure of the ambassador, the discussion that followed was with the members of the Ukrainian Cypriot friendship community. They asked for details on how the employer of Ukrainian refugees who have begun to arrive & nbsp; in Cyprus. It was agreed that SIKAP would inform the owners of Paphos leisure centers about the recruitment of Ukrainians in their centers, pending of course the decision of the competent authorities on how this will be done.
Also, through OSIKA it will be done accordingly information in the recreation centers of all the provinces, so that the needs of the existing staff are transparent. & nbsp; The & nbsp; members of the community will build a special platform with all interested Ukrainians for work, by specialty. In this way and through the platform, every interested entrepreneur will be able to hire staff.
& nbsp; The management of the whole project will be done through SIKAP, but also OSIKA. Next week, a meeting will be rescheduled between the two sides to move the issue forward immediately and make recruitments.
