Lidl Cyprus was awarded by Together Cyprus for another year for its valuable support to the largest environmental volunteering campaign

The Lidl Cyprus award was presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Mr. Petros Xenophontos, during the Let's Do It Cyprus Awards Ceremony.

Lidl Cyprus actively supported for one more year the largest Pan-Cypriot volunteering campaign of the Together Cyprus Organization. The Let's Do It Cyprus program took place during the cleaning week between 24-30 October 2022, but also throughout the previous year, with the valuable support of Lidl Cyprus, as well as the substantial contribution of 20,000 volunteers. This program is part of a Global Cleaning Campaign that aims to clean the natural areas of our planet from garbage and its action last year stood out as the largest cleaning and volunteering campaign in Cyprus.

The Let's Do It Cyprus Awards Ceremony, which was dedicated to the campaign's volunteers, took place on Friday 5 May, during which honorary awards and plaques were awarded to all Sponsors and Public Bodies that took part.

For its valuable support, Lidl Cyprus was awarded by the Let's Do It Cyprus Organization with an honorary award, which was awarded by Mr. Petros Xenophontos, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, to Mr. Vasilios Lagoiannis, General Manager of Lidl Cyprus. After receiving the award, he himself thanked the Organization for the award and the Minister for awarding it, saying characteristically “Environmental awareness and awareness for the protection of the environment is for all of us at Lidl Cyprus an integral part of our DNA. This is proven every day by our measures and various actions for the environment and of course for society as a whole. We work non-stop, and we capture in practice the effect of Lidl Cyprus both on the economic and social, as well as on the environmental level. For this reason, we remain true to our corporate values, while at the same time building partnerships with organizations that join us on the road to a better tomorrow.
