Limassol: Fatal work accident with the victim 67-year-old Angelos

A work accident occurred at noon on Tuesday in Limassol resulting in the death of a 67-year-old man who was carrying out gardening work.

According to the Police around 1:30 in the afternoon an ambulance crew went to a house in Limassol, following information about an injured man.

The crew took the injured man to the Limassol General Hospital, where he later died around 4:00 in the afternoon. This is Angelos Mandela, 67 years old, from Greece, resident of Cyprus.

After the Police were then informed, members of the local Police Station of Germasoyea and the TAE  carried out tests, from which it is alleged that, while the 67-year-old was working in a residence in Limassol, engaged in gardening work, he was injured after falling from a height of more than 4.5 meters, from a tree he was pruning.

The causes of death are expected to become clear with the scheduled autopsy which will be performed at a later stage.
