Limassol police found a quantity of duty-free cigarettes and tobacco

A quantity of duty-free tobacco items was found in the possession of a 41-year-old on Sunday morning by the Police in Limassol. The case was settled out of court after the payment of the sum of 3,000 euros by the citizen.

According to a police statement, members of the Limassol Police Department carried out a search warrant this morning at the home of a 41-year-old man in Limassol, during which 87 packs of cigarettes, 76 packs of tobacco and 18 packs of cigarettes were found and confiscated as evidence.

Subsequently, the items were received by an official of the Customs Department, while the case was settled out of court with the payment of the amount of 3,000 euros, by the 41-year-old.
