The works for the completion of the new football stadium in Limassol are progressing at a fast pace. The imposing stadium began to take shape, something that the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization, Andreas Michailidis, saw for himself during his visit to Kolossi on Friday, March 6, 2021.
In the presence of Mr. Michailidis, the progress of the projects was discussed, with the President of KOA expressing his satisfaction for their progress and emphasizing that the works are continuing at a fast pace and within the right schedules, emphasizing that the new stadium in Limassol will is ready in May 2022.
“We are here with our colleagues, the officers and the engineers in charge. We have been informed and we see that the stadium is taking shape. We are on a very good path. We have stated many times that we will closely and continuously monitor the progress of the work. We have an explicit order from the President of the Republic, to constantly inform him about the course of the stadium, where the works are located. We talked to the stadium managers and we are happy to say that everything is going well. Delays at the moment do not seem to exist and we hope to go in this direction until the end. At the same time, we will be informed very soon by the Minister of Transport, with whom we arranged a meeting on the road network, which certainly concerns the project and is an important part “.
The responsible engineer of the Public Works project, Dimitris Apostolidis, stressed that “As Mr. Michailidis said, the construction of the new Limassol stadium is proceeding normally. An update was given today to the Board of Directors of KOA on the progress of the work. The problems have all been solved and we hope that in May 2022, the project will be delivered to the Limassol teams, as planned. We thank Mr. Michailidis for his interest who regularly visits the project both with members of the Council, and often alone and with whom we have excellent cooperation “.
